Last week I posted about how the Chinese, or some of them at least, were taking on the massive building project of replicating the Summer Palace. I love big things, especially buildings, so was attracted to the undertaking. China is now about to make something even bigger.

A monument to Chinese culture in the form of a 115 square mile, 4 billion plus dollar city. Yeah, you heard me correctly, a city. This is where I have a problem though.  I often wonder if China forgets that the majority of its country’s citizens are ridiculously poor. Building a 4 billion dollar city is cool, and I will certainly visit it as soon as it opens, but I wonder if they realize that 4 billion dollars can also buy a lot of food for hungry people. Don’t know if I quite understand the priorities real clearly. I hope they don’t build something big for stupid Mao.
